Instagram: #logodesign
As I stated in my previous post about Instagram, this social media network can be a very powerful resource to artists. In my high school Art I class, they are working on logos for their own personal brand with which they will use to brand their portfolios.
The question I posed to my high school students were, “What makes a good logo?” A strong logo can be identified in any country, in any language. It looks great big on a billboard and small on the back of a shoe or on a shirt’s tag. Most importantly, the logo should reflect the personality of the brand.
Here are 2 picks for #logodesign on Instagram:
1) @pavlovvisuals
Pavlov Visuals is a creative firm based in Dallas, Texas and Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Their account has many illustrations but they also design band merch. I love what they do with their letters, treating them as shapes that interact with each other.
2) @maztrone
Logotypes, logotypes, logotypes… A photo posted by MAZTRONE Ⓜ️ (@maztrone) on
@maztrone is a French illustrator and designer who relies on type to create logos, making logotypes. There’s a lot of excellent lettering that is stylized which is fun to look at.
